There are a few players who are always nailed on to start for us in FPL, regardless of the fixture. I’m talking about the likes of Haaland, Salah and De Bruyne, however there becomes a select few that break the mould and this guy is quickly rising to the top, after a bumpy road and to make things better, he’s a steal of a price!
Marcus Rashford £6.9m
I decided to watch a few highlight reals of him over the past few game weeks, as I wanted to gain a better understanding of his increased level of form and if I thought it would be sustainable looking ahead. Its important to note that I also looked at his performance in the World Cup, as his FPL form prior to the tournament was hit and miss.

Rashfords performance vs Forest was sublime, his finishing was on point with a superbly taken goals from a set piece, and he looked sharp, pacey and wasn’t afraid to shoot at goal, which is always a bonus for FPL managers. Disappointing he was benched for the Wolves game after sleeping in for a team meeting, which was justified, but that didn’t stop him grabbing the headlines in a more positive manor, scoring a glorious solo goal to give the Red Devils the 3 points (Let the lad sleep in this form).

If we look at Man Utds next fixture they play Bournemouth at Old Trafford, which is a real juicy encounter, with goals galore being a tasty headline! The Cherries away form is extremely poor, conceding 7 goals from their last 3 loses and interestingly, most of the goals conceded came from the left, which is were Rashford steps in. His pace, strength and confidence to perform in front of a packed out Old Trafford should be a real concern for Bournemouth on Wednesday night.

Post Bournemouth the fixtures become tough, with City and Arsenal on the horizon, however it comes down to your confidence in his ability, and whether you think he can step up against the big boys? Its quite an easy transfer out if you become concerned, however its also important to note that Man Utd could also have a double fixture pending, with a sea of green post Gameweek 21.

If you ask me, I think he will be hitting a double digit haul this week and with an ownership of 35%, he could be a key asset in taking over your mini leagues!
