As the dust settles at Elland Road and the reality of relegation is confirmed, it seems the club are still trying to distance themselves from the fanbase. Minimal communication has been provided to any of the Leeds faithful, leaving a very intense bitterness to those who deserve better. Compassion goes a long way in this day and age and as we sing about our ups and downs, we understand that being a Leeds fan isn’t always going to be easy, but does that mean we should be left in the dark? No, it means we need answers!

There has been murmuring on social media that the owner Andrea Radrizanni remains locked in talks with 49ers enterprises, having flown over to the states last week, but that still doesn’t clarify the current situation. Is a full takeover happening? What will Radrizzanis involvement be moving forward? The debt stricken club Sampdoria seems to have been at the forefront of Radrizzanis mind during a turbulent EPL campaign for Leeds, which again adds insult to injury to a fanbase who have consistently backed the club in abundance, especially when the going gets tough.

It’s pretty staggering that Leeds have no director of football in place, no current plan for a head coach and no official clarity of ownership. That makes next seasons challenge of getting promoted even harder with a squad that’s all over the place, which was originally built for an inept American manager, so where is the strategy? Looking back to January and the turnover in the dugout, the decisions to adapt and change were made too late, it was as if they didn’t have a clue what to do or who to look to for help. So forgive me for thinking that Leeds are in good hands.

There probably isn’t going to be a mass exodus like there was in 2003/04, but it’s inevitable that Leeds will have to bring in some funds this summer via player sales, but this can’t happen until the ownership is sorted. Who is going to take responsibility for running the club? Is there anyone out there who’s willing to give us some answers? Angus Kinnear is a man who loves to have his say when things are going well, but it seems his pen has run out! A fresh start is what’s needed at Elland Road, honesty is what we want, someone who can take control of the situation and help us get over what has been an absolute shambles of a season.
